ABOUT LUGC
London University Golf Club is a competitive golfing society open to all low-handicap undergraduate and postgraduate students, both male and female, attending London Universities.

The society dates back to 1836 and has an excellent reputation for the standard of its players both on and off the golf course. We compete against some of the best members golf clubs in the UK, with the majority of our matches focused around the South East of England, from Walton Heath and Sunningdale to Rye. As a society, we are extremely lucky to not only to be invited to play against some fantastic golf clubs, but also to enjoy their hospitality and meet the members. We prize ourselves as a being a society that puts relationships first, and the golf naturally comes after. In addition to an excellent fixture list, LUGC is also proud to have friendlies against the Oxford Divots and the Cambridge Stymies.

The season consists of 15-20 fixtures played throughout the academic year. The society has over 40 members all with solid single figure handicaps. All fixtures are played on the weekend and consist of 36 holes of match play; 18 holes of foursomes in the morning followed by 18 holes of singles in the afternoon. One of the great benefits of the LUGC is the chance to meet and converse with members from all walks of life.

The LUGC hosts exciting socials throughout the year where members will gather at venues ranging from Shuffleboard Bars to German Bierhalls. We also have a formal Christmas and End-of-Season meal at the end of both semesters.
